Homecoming ’26

Posted October 22, 2026

The Hoco madness starts with the Princess and the Frog themed High School Homecoming Dance this Friday October, 23rd from 7-9PM in the cafeteria.  The QR code to purchase tickets is in the main office.  If you are planning on bringing guests please make sure they have been cleared with Sheldon.

Our HOCO spirit week runs from Monday, OCT 26th to Thursday OCT 29th.  Students and staff that are recognized for outstanding spirit fits will be entered in a drawing for prizes during HOCOCO.

10/26:Monday’s spirit day is PJ and Stuffie.

HS and 8th grade students will be taking part in Color Rush as well from 1:10-2:10. Color Rush is a new event this year please see the attached picture below for an idea of what will be going on.

  • In addition to dressing for PJ and Stuffie day HS and 8th grade students need to have clothing that you don’t mind getting a lot of colored powder on.
  • Both HS and 8th grade students should bring some type of eye glass/goggle and possibly a white bandana to keep the colored powder out of your eyes and mouth.
  • During the color rush it is recommended that all HS and 8th grade students have a plain white t-shirt on so that the colors stand out.
  • HS students that signed up in time for a color rush tee will be able to wear their shirt during the event (these will be handed out once Sheldon receives the delivery)
  • HS students will meet in the cafeteria right after lunch on Monday. 8th grade students stay in the courtyard instead of going into the building after lunch.

10/27:Tuesday’s Spirit Day is Wrong Occasion Day.  Wrong Occasion day works when students and staff wear outfits meant for completely different events other than a regular school day—like a beach day, ski slope, wedding, or black-tie gala the goal is to create comical mismatch from a school day and what you’re dressed for.  School appropriate props are strongly encouraged as well!

10/28:Wednesday’s Spirit Day is Twin Day.  The whole school will also be competing in various grade level and individual challenges during our Homecoming Competition aka HOCOCO.  HOCOCO will take place during our whole school gathering.

10/29:Thursday’s Spirit Day is Cover Art Day.  Students and Staff should find their favorite or most creative Album or Book Cover to mimic.  This is also our final day for Connection groups to finish their Door Decoration.  HS students will judge MS doors during 5th period and MS will judge HS doors during 7th period.  Our culminating Homecoming event takes place during Fall Fest from 5-8PM in our courtyard.  We encourage our entire school community and alumni to come out! ONLY Leadership students and Haunted House actors are allowed and expected to stay after school to get ready.

  • We will have BOOTHS for Jewelry Making, Pumpkin Painting, Face Painting, Hand Henna Art and Professional Photos.
  • Each ticket costs a dollar, both cash and virtual payments are accepted. Booths, Food and Events range from 1 to 5 tickets each.
  • We will also have EVENTS featuring a Costume Contest, Musical Chairs Cake Walk, Wooden Horse Races, Candy Guessing Jar and of course, our famous annual Haunted House with a theme of Haunted Wizard of Oz!
