Dear Families,

Happy Mother’s Day to all our wonderful DMHS mothers and grandmothers!  We appreciate all you do to help our students be successful!  We have a busy week ahead with 3 events.  On Tuesday, we are holding a High School Transitions event for all our current 9th graders and their families.  On Wednesday, our DMHS Education Foundation is having its first official meeting, and we would love any community member who is interested in fundraising for trips and other school support to come  On Friday, our High School Culinary Program is putting on their Tasting Dinner.  There are still a few spots left, so you can still buy tickets.
We would also like to congratulate and celebrate our Mile High Scholars this year: X’Zavonn Keys and Luis Rodriguez. The Mile High Scholars Award is given to DPS students who model leadership and respect. X’Zavonn and Luis will receive their awards on Tuesday at the city-wide Mile High Scholars award ceremony.
High School Transitions Meeting
Tuesday, May 15 at 5 pm
We invite all current 9th graders and their families who are moving on to our High School to attend an informal meeting with our High School teachers.  Pizza and beverages will be provided.This is a great opportunity to meet the High School staff and to learn about our High School expectations and how to support your student in this transition.  

DMHS Foundation Meeting.

Wednesday, May 16 at 5 pm at DMHS

This first formal meeting of the DMHS Foundation will set the tone for fundraising for many years to come. Please join a dynamic group of parents who have already raised over $35,000 to support trips. This is a great way to get involved at DMHS and meet other DMHS parents while make a huge difference for our school.

Fund-Raising Tasting Dinner Event: Syria

Friday, May 18th, 6 pm  $40 / ticket

Please come and enjoy a six-course tasting dinner featuring the cuisine of Syria! Our high school culinary elective has been preparing all semester for this event and will be cooking and serving the entire menu; the proceeds from this event will go towards the students’ international trips. If you enjoy amazing food, empowering youth, and supporting your community, please buy a ticket and join in the fun!

Seating is limited, so please reserve tickets as soon as possible; reservations will not be held without payment. For payment, we accept cash or checks made payable to “Denver Montessori High School”; you are also welcome to pay our administrator, Carol, to make your reservation (carol_delong@dpsk12.net). The deadline for reservations is Tuesday, May 15th and tickets will not be sold at the door. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or restrictions. Also please know that this is a formal, seated event when bringing children.

The Chickens of DMHS are starting to lay eggs again! So if you want a dozen or two dozen eggs, then click on this link so we can start selling eggs again.

You can pick up the eggs either in the office or we can send it home with your child. One dozen costs $6.00 and Two Dozen costs $12.00 exactly. DMHS Egg Order Form

¡Feliz día de las madres a todas nuestras maravillosas madres de DMHS! Agradecemos todo lo que hace para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a ser exitosos. Tenemos una semana ocupada por delante con 3 eventos. El martes, estamos llevando a cabo un evento de transición de la escuela secundaria para todos nuestros alumnos de noveno grado y sus familias. El miércoles, nuestra Fundación de Educación de DMHS realizará una reunión importante y nos encantaría que vinieran muchas familias. El viernes, nuestro Programa Culinario de Preparatoria está organizando su Cena de Degustación. Todavía quedan algunas entradas.
Reunión de transición de la escuela secundaria

Invitamos a todos los estudiantes de noveno grado y sus familias que se están mudando a nuestra escuela secundaria a asistir a una reunión informal con nuestros maestros de escuela secundaria. Se proporcionarán pizza y bebidas.

Esta es una gran oportunidad para conocer al personal de la escuela secundaria y para conocer nuestras expectativas de la escuela secundaria y cómo apoyar a su estudiante en esta transición.
