DMHS Updates April 1, 2018

Dear Families,

We are so looking forward to seeing your students tomorrow. Just a reminder that we DO have school tomorrow (Monday). April will be a busy month as we complete CMAS and PSAT testing. We really need your students to have 100% attendance or as close as possible over the next three weeks. Here are this week’s updates:

CMAS and PSAT Testing 

Starting the week of April 9, 7th and 8th grade students will be taking the CMAS.  For more information on CMAS testing, please visit CMAS Testing 2018.
9th and 10th graders will be taking the PSAT, and 11th graders will be taking the SAT. Below are those testing dates. Because all of our high school teachers will be needed to proctor the PSAT10 and SAT, we will have modified schedule for HIGH SCHOOL ONLY on Tuesday, April 10 and Wednesday,April 11. Farm School (7th, 8th and 9th) will be on regular schedule.

Tuesday, April 10 – SAT Testing for 11th graders (no school for 10th grade students)

Wednesday, April 11 – PSAT 10 -for 10th graders  (no school for 11th grade students)

Thursday, April 12 -PSAT 9 – for 9th graders (9th graders are on normal schedule all week)

​Farm School 7-9th grade Spring Trips

We are currently planning for our Farm School Spring Trips!   This year, 7th and 8th will be going to either the Sand Dunes, Indian Springs, or Colorado National Monument.   7th and 8th graders  will leave Monday, April 30 and return Thursday, May 3.    The cost for 7th and 8th grade trips is $135 and is due by April 20. If you need to set up a payment plan, please email carol_delong@dpsk12.net.

We will hold a mandatory trip meeting on Wednesday, April 18 at 5:30 pm, so please mark you calendars.
Chili Cook-Off! Also on Wednesday, April 18, DMHS Education Foundation will be holding its first ever Chili Cook-Off starting at 6:00 in the DMHS Dining Room! Please see the attached poster and contact Brandon Gaston at bgaston211@gmail.com if you are interested in entering your own famous chili recipe! Entertainment will include students sharing about their recent amazing Japan trip.

¡ la primavera está en el aire en DMHS! Los estudiantes han estado muy ocupados preparándose para plantar la granja en las últimas semanas. Le deseamos unas vacaciones de primavera maravillosas y pacíficas de dos semanas!

Pruebas CMAS y PSAT

viajes de primavera de la escuela agrícola!

¡Actualmente estamos planificando nuestros viajes de primavera de la escuela agrícola! Este año, el 7 y el 8 irán a Sand Dunes, Indian Springs o Colorado National Monuement.  Los estudiantes de 7 ° y 8 ° grado partirán el lunes 30 de abril y regresarán el jueves 3 de mayo.
