DMHS Class of 2020
We want to especially celebrate our DMHS Class of 2020.
Our students have written appreciations about each other on this page.
Joseph is friendly, dependable, and loyal to the people he cares about. He is nice to all of his peers, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, even if he’s not close to them. He is a loyal friend and is willing to put others’ needs in front of his own when he cares about them.
Camila is one the most talented and smartest people I know. Her ability to create art is beyond amazing. She has always been a person who you could turn to for help, whether it was academic or emotional. Camila is the type of person who cares about people and will take care of them. Her brother is the best example of her care. She puts so much effort into taking care of him and loving him with everything she has. She is there to check up on people especially when they are feeling down. Camila’s art amazes me everytime I see it. The designs are stunning and absolutely beautiful. She is incredibly smart in every area and anywhere in the world would be lucky to have her.
Bel is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I have always appreciated how positive and supportive of a person she is. Not only to me but to everyone at school. She is very intelligent. She worked so hard and got a scholarship for academics. Bel, over the years, has contributed so much to the DMHS community! Her ideas are bright, and her personality is very sweet and lively. Bel has dedicated most of her time to helping out other students – both academically and emotionally. This will get her very far in the future, we are all rooting for Bel! Bel is a very unique person who loves to work and help others. She is also a very good role model at DMHS. Something I have noticed about her is that she loves to help and be there for others and I admire that!
Armond is one of the nicest people I know. He never causes drama and has the most contagious laugh in the whole high school. I always enjoy hearing stories about Armond fishing or catching frogs. Armond is someone that I can tell is really passionate about the things he’s interested in. His true passion always shines when he does a presentation on something he finds interesting. It’s clear that he has a great connection to the people he cares about, and it shows in the way his friends and him interact with each other.
Even though Oliver is newer to our community, he has always felt like family. The way he effortlessly works towards making sure our community is the best it can be is inspiring and motivates me to want to contribute more to our community as well. I’m so glad I could reconnect with Oliver in high school and talk about our shared hatred of the elementary school we went to.
I appreciate Emma because she is so hard-working and very Involved and passionate about helping the 2020 class get the celebration they deserve. She is always willing to help anyone in need, especially in English class. Emma has helped me through personal situations and I am very very grateful to have a friend like her. Emma seems like a wonderful person. She always said good things in class to help everyone out. I know she’s smart and always seems ready to learn and get stuff done. She’s always on time to class, she’s always ready for something to happen, she’s the first one to always stand up and talk most of the time,
I appreciate Annysia because she is a very strong leader in pre-calc. Regardless of what we’re doing in class she’s always willing to help people who are in need of it, Not only in pre-calc but in many other classes too. We were able to put our differences aside and work together in pre-calc when we needed to and I’m really grateful for that. Annysia has always been able to make a crowd smile. Whether it be by including new people in a conversation or hanging out during school events like showcases and trips, she has always been a source of joy at school.
Hey muu’lo. I probably won’t forget that name ever. Thank you for being so creative and bringing something different others can view and getting them to open their eyes to view art pieces that are amazing. Thank you for being weird (in a good way) and for being funny. You always make me laugh and you are super kind and openly hearted.
Lali is a very sweet and kindhearted young woman. She has a laugh and smile that are both contagious. Her friends are very lucky to have her because it’s clear that she cares deeply about them by how kind and affectionate she is. I can’t wait to see what she decides to do after high school. Lali is one of the most caring people ever. I have seen her drop all things just to care for someone in need. She has one of the biggest hearts ever. Lali is kind, loving, and smart and fun to be around She is sweet and there for you whenever you need her. She gives amazing hugs and always brighten up your day. Lail will take light with her everywhere she goes and everyone that meets her will be immediately cared for.
Dom, I appreciate your low key but deep personality. Your conversations can open up new ways of thinking to anyone and your positivity radiates off of you. As someone who has gone to school with Dom since first grade, I have always known him to be a kind person. He cares extremely deeply about his family and friends and would do anything to protect them. There is no doubt in my mind that this love has radiated into the larger DMHS community and made many people feel safe.
Bella, I appreciate your warm and loving spirit. Your funny and caring personality brings joy to anyone and everyone you come in contact with. Your energy and smile lights up rooms.
You are super smart, like really smart. In my 11th grade year I always wanted to be as smart as you. Just know you are inspiring and the community and myself appreciate you. I haven’t gotten to know you very well but I know you are amazing.
Cruz has brought unfiltered joy to your community since 7th grade. Whether it be on the frisbee team or in theater productions, his willingness to try new things and include others has helped to build some of our most treasured school traditions. Cruz is always up for making new friends and has been one of the most welcoming students in the school. We know that he will continue to unapologetically be himself and strive to bring smiles to the faces of those he cares about. You are very cheerful and an inspiration to the world. You a super willing to put yourself out there and find wonderful things and bring them back to the table. I’ve known you for some time and it’s been wonders! Thank you for being there for not only me but the whole community when we need someone.
Lily is one of the most amazing human beings in the world. She is incredibly strong-willed and has inspired many members of the DMHS community when advocating for what she believes in. Her kindness and supportive nature has been felt by everyone in our graduating class and she has earned a reputation of being one of the most trustworthy people many of us have had the privilege to know. I guarantee you that she will go on to be successful in anything she sets her mind to.
I have known you for literally my whole life basically. We had ups and down but mostly ups which I appreciate. Thank you for being goofy and playful when times are hard and finding ways to connect with people when you know they’re down. I know we don’t talk much now but I know when it comes down we got each other! Family 4ever.
X’zayvonn is an interesting person, I can’t count the times that I have walked in or have overheard the weird and funny conversations he and his friends have. Sometimes he and his friends ask me some pretty weird questions but I think he’s pretty funny.
I think he has a good heart and truly cares about people and his friends especially.
He’s always at the center of his friend group trying to make people happy. I always like to see people making others happy and he’s a good example.
Mike is one of the coolest people i’ve ever met! Seriously, I’ve never met someone who gets along with everyone so well. He’s everyone’s homie and everyone is his.
He’s always always there for you no matter what and always yours and everyone else’s back. Each day I look forward to talking with him about skating, cars, Dragon Ball, or girl problems. He can always make me laugh and I appreciate having him at school each and every day.
Cole is one of my closest friends. He is very supportive and caring. He has made me proud over the years. His senior year he got a job and did some college classes and had good grades in his normal classes. Overall Cole and I got closer and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a while.
Jenny is a hardworking, and intelligent student. She has been in the community for a long time, and ever since then she has contributed her smarts and work ethic into multiple projects around the school. Jenny will for sure keep up the hard work, and become very successful in the future! Jenny is always around when I need her and gives good hugs! It’s always a good time when I see her.
Sam thank you for allowing me to truly be me around you without any question. True friends accept others for who they are and I totally feel that way about you! Thank you for being my friend and older brother. I appreciate you for laughing at my jokes or just checking up on me when I need it!
Sydney is a wonderful person. She’s always making people laugh, even when they’re down and not feeling good at the moment she’s there to help. Me and Sydney go way back all to like 4th maybe 5th grade. She was a cool person to talk to about things back then, now that she’s all grown up she’s even better. She’s very smart and loves to learn new things all the time, she helped me a lot in school, even when she didn’t want to she still helped. Just means a lot when you have someone like that in high school. We didn’t talk as much but when we did it was great, and I can’t wait for what’s next for her in life. Overall she’s just a great friend to have .
It’s really been so fun to get to know Joaquin in advisement. He always brings so much lighthearted energy to any space he enters (whether it be intentional or not). I will definitely miss the unexpectedly funny moments Joaquin brought to my school experience.
I have seen him grow so much and I have seen him do amazing things in our community. He loves to support his peers wether it’s with school work or being there to listen and talk. He’s a very hard worker and also understanding!
