Trisha is originally from Muskegon, Michigan, and attended Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Special Education. After graduating, Trisha joined the Peace Corps and served for two years in the Philippines, teaching alongside local counterparts and developing sustainable, interactive teaching models and lasting relationships. Not ready to embrace winter immediately, she moved to Hawaii and taught special education for a year. Trisha has been a Special Education Service Provider at DMHS for the last four years and is looking forward to her second year as Farm School Program Director. Trisha earned her AMI Elementary certificate from the Montessori Institute of San Deigo and recently completed her Master's Degree in Education from Loyola University Maryland.
