Jess is returning as a Math Guide, Senior Team Lead (Peer Teacher Coach) and GT Coordinator at DMHS! She is happily married and has two daughters, two dogs, and two cats. Her hobbies include home improvement projects, crafting, traveling, and spending time with family. This will be her seventeenth year of teaching in Colorado! She loves working with diverse populations, learning about different cultures, and guiding students through service learning projects related to political action and/or social justice. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Mary Washington College, with a double-major in Chemistry and Biology, a Masters degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Secondary Education, a Masters degree from Adams State University in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and a Certificate from NAMTA/AMI - Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies. She is thrilled to continue to be a part of the DMHS team!
